重磅！七个5G推进组织共同举办

第八届全球5G大会（the Global 5G Event）于2021年10月14-15日成功召开。全球5G大会是全球移动通信及相关产业发布5G成果、进行技术交流、凝聚产业共识的重要平台，对引导全球5G形成共识，促进全球5G产业及应用发展，发挥了重要作用。本届大会受疫情影响通过网络线上会议方式举行，由中国联合欧盟、美国、日本、韩国、巴西、印度等全球七个5G推进组织共同举办,中国IMT-2020(5G)推进组承办。
本次会议以“5G赋能数字经济”（“5G Empowers the Digital Economy”）为主题，包括了5G发展及政策、B5G，5G商用进展，5G垂直行业解决方案和 5G助力抗击疫情等五个议题。来自全球7个国家地区的32位专家发表了精彩的演讲，进行了深入的探讨。
工业和信息化部信息通信发展司副司长刘郁林出席大会并致开幕词，对大会的召开表示热烈祝贺，重点介绍了中国5G创新发展及5G融合应用情况，并就5G更好赋能实体、服务社会、造福人民提出四点倡议：一是坚持网络先行，打造高质量5G网络；二是坚持协同创新，夯实5G发展根基；三是坚持融合赋能，拓展5G应用场景；四是坚持合作共赢，共创5G良好环境。
IMT-2020(5G)推进组组长，中国信息通信研究院副院长王志勤主持“5G发展及政策”环节，并发表演讲，介绍了中国在5G政策支撑、频谱规划、网络和市场、5G增强技术试验、5G创新应用及5G安全等方面取得的最新成果。
中国移动研究院无线与终端技术研究所副所长邓伟在“5G商用”环节发表演讲，中国移动目前已部署5G基站约50万站，建成全球最大的5G网络，提供5类新5G应用体验，通过优享、专享和尊享三类专网产品构建分级、公专协同的5G专网。
华为无线标准部部长沈祖康在“B5G”环节发表演讲，分别介绍了新sub-100GHz频谱利用、以上行链路为中心的网络、一个网络支持所有物联网场景、通感一体化、5G与人工智能、低碳绿色5G解决方案等六大5G技术发展趋势。
中兴通讯无线标准总经理王欣晖在“5G垂直行业解决方案”环节发表演讲，中兴通讯在大视频、车联网、智能电网、工业制造等5G领域建设了数十个垂直行业示范应用，全面赋能垂直行业的数字化转型。
中国信息通信研究院高级工程师许珊在“5G助力抗击疫情”环节发表演讲，重点介绍了基于5G的直播，基于5G的远程问诊，基于5G的医疗机器人，基于5G的人工智能诊断等5G+医疗融合应用发展。
第九届全球5G大会将于 2022 年秋季由日本5GMF承办。
Ms. Zhiqin Wang, Chairperson of IMT-2020（5G）PG, said: “As 5Gis being commercialized worldwide, 5G development has moved from the R&D phaseto the large-scale application phase. How to turn the grand vision of 5G intoreality, so that 5G can empower different industries, add intelligence andcreate value for them? This requires the common wisdom of the global industry. With the Global 5G Event, the sparks ofinnovation will fly. The 8th Global 5G Event offers an opportunity to exchangeexperiences in 5G network construction and industry applications, gatherconsensus on the evolution of technologies and standards and development policies,and accelerate the development of 5G-enabled digital economy.”
Dr. Colin Willcock, Chairman of the 5G IA Board, said：“After the long period of disruptionand tragedy caused by the covid virus, the 8th Global 5G event presented aunique opportunity to bring the global 5G community together again, to betterunderstand the status of 5G around the world and look to the future beyond 5G.”
Mr. Chris Pearson, President of 5G Americas, stated:“Through the collaboration of the leading 5G associations in the Americas,Brazil, China, Europe, India, Japan and South Korea, the 8th Global 5Gevent continued to be an important conference to share technical, regulatoryand market information for the growing 5G wireless industry”
Mr. Dong Ku Kim, Chair of the 5G Forum executive committee, said: The 8th Global5G Event in China is a great event to see the 5G business status in the MOUpartners, where we can share what would have driven 5G to weave into verticalindustries. and what all of these efforts have brought to the 5G ecosystem
Mr.Susumu Yoshida, Chair of the 5th Generation MobileCommunications Promotion Forum (5GMF), stated, “The presentations and thediscussions at this Global 5G Event were extremely stimulating, timely anduseful, reflecting ongoing world-wide spreading of 5G networks, and we are surethey will accelerate further spreading of 5G, its evolution, and discussionstowards Beyond 5G.”
Prof. José Marcos C. Brito, General Secretary of 5G Brasil, said: “First, weare happy for the return of the 5G Global event, after the interruption causedby covid. This year, the 8th 5G Global event brought us important updates onthe status of 5G implementation in the world, considering the most diverseaspects, like: 5G trends and policies, 5G commercialization, 5G solutions forvertical industries, and 5G against Covid-19. This year we also started todiscuss about 6G networks, which are already starting to be analyzed in severalresearch projects. In short, a unique and fundamental event to understand thepresent and future of mobile communications networks in the world.”
Mr. N G Subramaniam, Chair of TSDSI, stated: “ AfterTSDSI signed the Accession Agreement to the Multilateral MoU in September 2020,this 8th Global 5G Event is the first one in which TSDSI is taking part withgreat interest. As India looks to deployment of 5G technologies in step withthe rest of the world, sharing of results and experiences from pilots, trialsand deployments in diverse markets will help bringing experiences from ourrespective regions to a common platform. We value the opportunity ofarticulating India market requirements, local innovations and standardisationefforts in this important conference”.
