About FCN
International Conference on Future Communications and Networks (FCN) aims to provide a forum that brings together international researchers from academia and practitioners in industry to meet and exchange ideas and recent research work on all aspects of future communications and networks.
FCN has been successfully held three times: in Belgrade (Serbia, 2025), St. Julian's (Malta, 2024), and Queenstown (New Zealand, 2023). All accepted papers have been included in the FCN conference proceedings (EI Compendex), and the conference has gained broad influence within both academic and industrial circles.
The 4th edition of this event, FCN 2026, will be held in Bologna, Italy, on October 28 - November 1, 2026. It is co-organized by FuTURE Mobile Communication Forum and University of Bologna. and is technically sponsorer by IEEE Communications Society (pending). The conference will feature multiple frontier technology Sessions on topics including artificial intelligence, edge computing, cloud computing, integrated sensing and communication, and space-air-ground communications. Three IEEE Fellows will be invited as keynote speakers to share insights on cutting-edge technologies, either online or on-site.
To promote industry-academia-research-application collaborative innovation, FCN 2026 will further strengthen industrial engagement. Activities are planned, including technical visits to representative companies and industrial technology seminars, to foster deeper integration of academic research and industrial application. The conference will continue to serve as a vital international exchange platform, gathering global expertise to jointly explore future development directions and innovative opportunities in communications and network technologies.
