FCN is the premier annual scholarly venue in the field of communications and networking. It serves as an international platform for experts and scholars from both academia and industry worldwide to exchange cutting-edge research findings and technological innovations in future communications and networking.

In 2026, FCN will be held in Bologna, Italy, as an entirely in-person event. To enrich the conference program and facilitate in-depth discussions on emerging trends, key advanced technologies, forward-looking ideas, and widely debated topics in communications, the FCN 2026 Organizing Committee now invites proposals for Workshops. Workshop topics should cover all areas of communications and networking research and applications, including but not limited to future communications, intelligent networks, integrated sensing and communication, key 6G technologies, quantum communications, network sustainability, and other emerging research directions.

According to the FCN 2026 schedule, individuals or institutions interested in organizing a Workshop must submit a Workshop proposal (including a complete topic, organizational structure, and draft agenda) by March 15, 2026. The Organizing Committee will notify applicants of the results within two weeks. The accepted will be responsible for assisting in promoting FCN 2026 and the Workshop itself, issuing Calls for Papers, organizing paper reviews and acceptances, and planning the Workshop agenda. To ensure high-quality interaction and discussion, the Workshop Chair and at least one Co-Chair must be physically present at the event.

All workshop papers will be included in the FCN 2026 conference proceedings and indexed by EI Compendex. The page limit for accepted regular workshop papers is 6 pages, including all figures, tables, and references. Each accepted paper must be presented in person at the workshop by the author(s).
