The 4th 5G and Future Network Strategy Seminar held in Guangzhou
Seminar | 2019/6/14On May 10, the 4th "5G and Future Network Strategy Seminar" sponsored by the Committee for Promoting the Technical Standards and Industrial Development of Future Mobile Communications and organized by Guangdong communications & networks institute was held in the banquet hall on the first floor of Guangzhou Nikko Hotel.
The year of 2019 is considered the first year of 5G commercial use. The technology of 5G is gradually growing mature, and its commercial use has been also unveiled slowly. 5G characteristic of broad bandwidth, ultra-low time delay and massive connection will change human society and bring about unlimited opportunities. 201 mobile operators in 83 countries across the world are actively taking action. Meanwhile, three domestic operators are also making the corresponding deployment actively, and pilot tests, network construction and application demonstration projects of 5G in various regions are being sped up.
5G is the focus of current industrial and social attention, and its influence has far exceeded the technical scope. Industry-wide recognition is increasingly made clear that 5G is not only the upgrading of wireless air interface technology, but also a major change of the network technology. 5G not only accelerates the transformation and reconstruction of the network, but also ushers in the transformation and development of the infrastructure, the network organization mode and even the whole communications industry.
For the future mobile information service, the future network innovation will become the key to the development of 5G. cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence will drive 5G technology to develop in depth and foster major technological changes such as new frequency spectrum, new technologies, new systems, new protocols and new devices. The transformation from "personal communications" to "industrial application" also puts forward new requirements for network development. The changes in some systems and frameworks, such as software popularization for network equipment, cloudification and virtualization reconstruction of network infrastructure, as well as agile, customized and intelligent transformation of network systems used in the industry, will become important core concepts of 5G.
It is in this context that the seminar was held. It focuses on the theme of "5G Network Change and 5G Opportunity", with emphasis on 5G implementation and pre-commercial use promotion, industry opportunities brought by 5G, and network changes for future mobile information services.
