The 3rd Working Group Meeting for 5G Internet of Things of the Forum was held from August 21 to 22, 2018 in Qingdao. It discussed the white paper for the application and development of NB-IOT/eMTC.

In order to deeply comprehend the demand of the new generation of wireless communication technology in industrial manufacturing and promote the application of NB-IOT, eMTC and even 5G technology in industrial manufacturing, the 5G IoT Working Group went to Qingdao Hisense Group for field investigation and communication during the meeting.

Sui Litao, Chief Scientist of Hisense Communications and Deputy General Manager of R&D Center, Hisense, gave an overall introduction of Hisense, and Zhao Yan, Director of IT & Data Management Department and Supply Chain System Department introduced the status quo of intelligent manufacturing in Hisense. Zhang Xinsheng, Deputy Director of the FuTURE Forum, made a report on building a network ecology. Li Guoqing, Wang Wei and Pan Chengkang, experts of the FuTURE Forum Working Group, made a comprehensive introduction of 5G air interface technology, network architecture, and 5G's application to intelligent plants, etc.
