As a member in Chinese MII Delegation, Ms. Fu Jun, Vice Secretary-General of FuTURE FORUM, attended the Sino-EU Cooperative Seminar and EU IST2006 Exhibition in Helsinki of Finland from November 21st to 23rd of 2006.

As an important part of EU IST2006 Exhibition, Sino-EU Cooperative Seminar was held on November 21st, on which Mr. Wen Ku, Director of Department of Science and Technology of MII made an address on “Current Situation and Prospect of China’s Information Industry”. Mr. Wen introduced the development of China’s information industry from the following aspects, namely summary of development of information industry in China, environment for development of information industry, cooperation between China and EU in information industry, and developing trends of China’s information industry. In addition, Mr. Zhu Yutao from Institute of Communication Standards Research of CATR and Mr. Xue Xuetong from CESI, made speeches respectively on Wireless Mobile Communication and Open Source. The lectures made by Chinese Delegation successfully brought forth the achievements gained during the development of China’s information technology and the China’s expectation to cooperative with EU.

FuTURE FORUM, with plenty of preparation, played an impressive role in the exhibition stand of Future Mobile Communication Technology, and successfully exhibited the development and achievements of China’s future mobile communication technology through videos, exhibition boards, promotion brochures, and the introduction made by the exhibition staff of Chinese Delegation.
