FuTURE FORUM Organized a Visit to the Outfield of Sensor Network of SIMIT in Jiaxing

On the afternoon of July 13th, FuTURE FORUM Secretariat organized a visit to the sensor network outfield of Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Science that locates in Jiaxing where the representatives had a heated discussion and exchange with the experts.

The research on the sensor network developed by Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, as the Second-Phase Innovation Engineering Program of China Academy of Science, has made certain breakthroughs in the development of numbers of key technologies related to MEMS sensors, chips, nodes, networks and synergistic treatment which results in a leading position in the international development of such technologies. In order to make the working groups better understand the advanced technology and stimulate the research work of the working groups, FuTURE FORUM Secretariat organized the visit and exchange activity in Jiaxing.

Dr. Liu Haitao, Assistant to the Director of Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology extended a warm welcome to the members of the working groups of FuTURE FORUM, and made a report introducing the wireless sensor network developed by SIMIT. Then the working group members were escorted by the staff of SIMIT to visit the outfield center in Jiaxing and watched the demonstration of the sensor network in the center which gave them a fundamental idea of the sensor network products, software and engineering applications. In the end, the staff demonstrated to us the invasion-proof system of the wireless sensor network, in which the working group members showed a lot of interest and expressed strong wills for further communication and cooperation.

The visit to Jiaxing, not only made the working groups more aware of the international advanced technologies, but also inspired the technical R&D in certain broader area. FuTURE FORUM will endeavor to support the R&D of B3G technology conducted by the working groups and continue to promote the B3G industry in China to be well matched with the international development.
