The Initial Communication Seminar for Sino-Swedish Strategic Cooperative Programme on Next Generation Networks

With the joint effort made by Chinese and Swedish governments and academic communities during the recent three years, the Sino-Swedish Strategic Cooperative Programme on Next Generation Networks funded by MOST of China and VINNOVA of Sweden, having been approved both governments, was formally kicked off in 2008. The initial communication activity was conducted in LUND University in Sweden on January 7th of 2009. 23 Chinese representatives from Tsinghua University, Southeast University, BUPT, UESTC, USTC, HUST, SJTU, BUAA, BIT, SHRCWC and FuTURE FORUM attended the seminar exchanging with the officials from VINNOVA and nearly 30 professors and experts from LUND University, LINKOPING University, Uppsala University, Chalmers University of Technology, and ROYAL Institute OF Technology. The experts from both sides had an exchange and discussion on the progresses gained during the past half year and on the work division, and set up a R&D plan for the coming two years.
