April 9 and 10, the 1^st Working Group Meeting of FuTURE FORUM 2009 was held in Beijing, on which the groups discussed and revised the 2008 white paper which will be released recently. The research work in 2009 was also initiated on this meeting.

User and system requirement group confirmed the final version of the Minimum IMT-Advanced Requirement jointly proposed by China Mobile and China Telecom. Service and application group continued the discussion on the latest revision of the emergency communication white paper. Spectrum group focused on the new arithmetic of the spectrum sharing, the spectrum allocation on UHF band of various countries and China’s suggestions on UHF band allocation. Air Interface group, with 8 articles contributed, planed to conduct contrast among the hotspot topics. Radio Resource Management group mainly discussed relay and CA technologies and the influence of relay technology on the system performance. Network Architecture group proposed several research focuses such as CoMP and ubiquitous network and had a heated discussion on the distributed relay selection, flat distributed structure and sensor network from the articles submitted.

 

On the IPR group meeting, Mr. Zhao Jun from Legal Affairs Department,State Intellectual Property Office of P.R.China made a report on the third revision of China’s Law of Patents, introducing the procedure, content and details of the third revision, interpreting the significance and value of the revision to the member representatives, making the enterprises understand how to participate in the revision of Law of Patents and how to help to maximize the profit of the enterprises.
