Supported by SHRCWC, FuTURE FORUM organized the seminar on the development of TD-LTE technologies and standards in Shanghai from August 2nd to 4th. The seminar was mainly oriented to the R&D persons, project managers, and marketing and sales persons with certain technical background from the member units. With the accumulation in years of research and exchange on mobile communication technologies, FuTURE FORUM invited several experienced experts including Mr. Wang Yingmin from Datang Mobile, Dr. Su Xin from Tsinghua University, Dr. Yang Yang from SHRCWC, and Mr. Wang Hu from Huawei to give systematical speeches on TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE and relative LTE technologies, knowledge on international IMT-A standardization, concluding the experiences and lessons learned during the industrialization, sharing the R&D experience, and clarifying the orientation for the domestic and foreign future technical development. The contents of the seminar covers Reviews and evolution of TD-SCDMA standardization, Transformation and industrialization of TD-SCDMA and relative issues, TD-LTE systematical structure, TD-LTE technologies at physical-layer and high-layer, and concerns in IMT-A R&D and international standardization. All the speakers have been working on the frontline of international standardization and doing R&D work on TD-LTE technologies and standards for many years, with sound theoretical bases and rich practical experience, so that the content they have prepared for the seminar is quite abundant and accurate with the latest dynamics of international technical development.

In addition, FuTURE FORUM also organized a visit to TD-LTE trial network and Information and Communication Pavilion during the seminar, offering an opportunity for the participants to experience the special services provided by TD-LTE systems, such as HD Video conferences, mobile HD video monitoring, mobile HD video ordering, and portable video uploading.
